France as a mission field

Dan Painter ( on the left) is the head of ICC, icc-ministries.org, which plants English-speaking churches in Europe. He also mentors and unites the pastors of various small churches in France. Dan introduces the idea of VBS to various churches and hopes they will invite us to do one at their place.

To the right is Steve Lloyd, the pastor of L'Eglise Méthodiste here in Narbonne. He spoke to us about his experiences as a missionary and pastor. Most churches in France are small and it takes years to see a single convert. The pastors' families are alone and can get very discouraged. He said that France is considered "the graveyard of missionaries"and that it has the highest drop-out rate among families serving in Europe. He thanked us for our work and didn't want us to be disappointed over the small turn out here in Narbonne.

Pray with us that our VBS week and the concerts will encourage the believers here!
